Bear watching

More than half of Slovenia is covered with forest, which is why we have one of the largest populations of brown bears in Europe. In our forests, you can safely observe this mighty animal, accompanied by experienced guides and hunters who will give you a unique insight into its natural environment. For the best experience, go spotting just before sunset, when the view of the king of our forests patiently unfolds in the safety of the observation room. The experience lasts 2 to 3 hours and includes a drive in an all-terrain vehicle and bear spotting in silence in the observation room, which is soundproofed, and equipped with Wi-Fi and an external video surveillance system. Warm, light-proof clothing and booking are recommended. Bear-watching is possible every day from April to October.
