A picturesque circular path is an inviting way to explore Nova Gorica, which emerged right on the border with Italy only after the end of World War II. You can explore this young city – from the ideas of architect Edvard Ravnikar about a socialist city to its casinos and Europe Square, divided by the border – either on foot or by bike.
You will be inspired by the lush greenery and above all roses, the symbol of the city. You will hear stories about the last king of France, Charles X, the history of the border between Slovenia and Italy, and the smuggling that took place along it. You will also be treated to an original and sustainably served lunch.
