Hike & Fly

Ajdovščina is the perfect base for Hike & Fly adventures. The slopes of the Trnovska plateau are crisscrossed by a network of breathtaking hiking paths. One of the most popular paths is the one leading past the Otliško Okno, a hole in the rock providing a unique view of the Vipava Valley. On the edge of the plateau, near the village of Kovk, hiking paths come across one of the most popular free-flight take-off sites in Slovenia.

Your adventure starts in Ajdovščina. Accompanied by an experienced guide, who will tell you about a number of natural characteristics along the way, you will climb the picturesque mountain paths to the take-off site and then return back down in a tandem paraglide flight over the Vipava Valley. The views from up there are beautiful beyond words, stretching from the Julian Alps to the Adriatic Sea. You will touch down in front of a wine cellar to enjoy original Vipava wines and excellent local cuisine.
