Kamnik

Kamnik, a medieval town nestled amid Alpine forests along the banks of the Kamniška Bistrica River, is home to outstanding cuisine and inspiring culture. Unique shepherding heritage has been preserved not far from the town, on the Velika Planina Plateau in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps.

Every summer, shepherds and their animals move up to what is one of the few true and still operating shepherding villages in Europe.
