Expano

The regional promotional center Expano combines history, technology, and sustainable development through its architecture and interactive content. The pavilion is designed as a miniature representation of Pomurje and consists of four main sections: an interactive experience park, a tourist information center with a shop, a local restaurant, and a space dedicated to business use.

Expano is not just a building – it is a space of experiences. In the interactive experience park, visitors explore the natural features, history, and traditions of Pomurje through modern technologies such as virtual reality, 3D projections, and interactive games. Take a virtual flight over the region, discover thermal waters, and explore cultural heritage on interactive screens.

The pavilion is a recycled structure, designed using environmentally friendly infrastructure. Its construction significantly contributed to the revitalization of a previously degraded area. By promoting sustainable tourism, collaborating with local providers, and supporting local artisans, Expano fosters meaningful synergies within the local community. Through a wide range of experiences, it raises awareness about the importance of nature conservation.
