Maribor’s green experience

On the outskirts of Maribor, along the Vodole wine route, there is an open-air classroom: the biggest park of melliferous flora in the Štajerska region. Here, visitors get to learn about melliferous plants, herbs, shrubs, and trees and help out with beekeeping in the park’s beehive.

You will be able to learn about bees up close, find out how honey is made or how young bees are born. Before you go, you will put together your own collection of honey produced by the Sončni Raj homestead so that you will be able to enjoy this extraordinary gift of nature at home.
