With its clustered layout of eight wooden-roofed buildings, Šenkova domačija is a remarkable example of Alpine heritage, established by our ancestors more than five centuries ago. Preserved with deep respect for tradition, the farmstead has maintained its original character. The main house, unusually grand for this region, is protected as a cultural monument of national importance and subject to strict preservation guidelines. Aware of its priceless value, the owners are proud to maintain the estate and share its rich history with visitors.
Throughout its history, the farm has practiced extensive farming and in recent years has transitioned to certified organic farming, helping protect nature and ensure its future. Guests are treated to healthy, home-grown organic meals for breakfast, lunch, or dinner. The farm is self-sufficient in heating and electricity thanks to biomass and solar energy, and its accommodation units are furnished using recycled wood as part of its commitment to environmental sustainability.
