The guided “Eye of the River”

The guided “Eye of the River” experience is a treat for all the senses—not just the eyes. And yet, it is the view—like the emerald Soča River that connects the valley—that shapes our journey from beginning to end.

Along the way, we’ll explore both distant and recent history while playfully engaging our senses. We’ll listen to the tragic story of Lucia, whose fate elevated her among Christian saints. We’ll cross the boundary between the visible and the unseen, soak in stunning views, and refresh ourselves at a healing spring. We’ll also create our own souvenir and take a boat ride on the blue “eye” of the Soča River.

We’ll conclude the experience with local specialties on a terrace offering a charming view of the confluence of the Soča and Idrijca rivers.
