The adventure begins in the village of Loka pri Zidanem Mostu, which you reach by train. Electric bikes await at the local train station and you head out in the direction of the village center next to the 1208-built church of St Helen, once a post of Primož Trubar, the key 16th-century Protestant reformer in the Slovenian lands. A path through the fields along the Sava leads you to the Dolinšek Kozolec hayrack, where you will enjoy a fish snack and learn about kavsanje, the tradition of collecting firewood floating on the Sava River.

You will continue along a cycling path leading past Boštanj and through the Sevnica old town to Sevnica Castle. Here, Count Moscon awaits with a lunch fit for a count on one of the castle vineyard terraces. The native Blaufränkisch goes very well with the tastes of locally sourced meats sold under the brand Grajske Mesnine (Castle Meats) and other local delicacies. After lunch, you can continue your trip and visit nearby lookout locations or head for the end-point of the tour at the Sevnica train station.
