Eco Campsite Koren

Camping Koren is located next to the idyllic emerald Soča River, only 500 meters from Kobarid, and is the first eco-camp in Slovenia. It provides 90 plots for trailers, motor homes, and tents and has a maximum capacity of 360 people. If you desire more comfort, you can rent an eco log cabin or a wooden glamping house. The camping is a perfect base for active travelers – from kayakers, rafters, mountaineers, and paragliders to anglers and cyclists. You can rent a mountain bike or an electric bike here, climb a climbing wall, enjoy the camp’s adrenaline park, relax in the Finnish sauna or the salt room, or hit the gym. The camp also has a bar and a small grocery shop selling a variety of organic products.

GREEN EXPERIENCE: ELECTRIC BIKE TRIP

You are invited to spend your time in pristine nature and in active exploration of cultural heritage, local traditions, and food.

The electric bike will take you to the pilgrimage church in Drežnica and the beautiful waterfalls Sopota and Krampež. Then, you will visit an organic farm where you will take an active part in the traditional cheese-making process in an old cheese dairy with an open fire stove: here you will get to taste a variety of homemade dairy and meat products. Sitting at the fire, the owner will tell you stories about cheese, mountain pastures, the native Drežnica goat species, and life in the mountains. Late in the evening, you will return to the Koren Camp to rest in a beautiful eco log house, a glamping house or your tent pitched under the trees.
