In the heart of the green Pohorje, where nature awakens all the senses, Domačija Kovačnik awaits you – a family farm where tradition and modernity intertwine into a unique experience.

At 680 meters above sea level, in the idyllic village of Planica nad Framom, the 36-hectare estate offers a true Pohorje fairytale. You will be welcomed by three generations of the Štern family, known locally as the Kovačniks: grandmother Angelca, host Danilo with his wife Barbara, their son Aljaž with Kaja, and daughters Julija and Ana.

A key feature of their offering is healthy, homemade cuisine, prepared from seasonal ingredients grown in their garden, fields, and orchard. This ensures the fullness of flavors and authenticity that modern travelers seek. In collaboration with top local winemakers, they have curated an excellent selection of wines, while non-alcoholic refreshments are prepared in-house following grandmother Angelca’s recipes.

The rooms, named after their children – Ana, Julija, and Aljaž – provide comfort, warmth, and a stunning view of nature. Outside the house, you will find Barbara’s blooming garden, while children can enjoy the company of many farm animals and a playground with various play structures.
