Sheep salting experience with Drejc Karničar

Start your day at Šenkova domačija with a unique experience – a hike led by mountaineer and shepherd Drejc Karničar, who will guide you through the picturesque Ravenska Kočna valley all the way to the Češka koča mountain hut. Along the way, Drejc will share the rich shepherding tradition of Jezersko, the importance of sheep farming today, and his personal story intertwined with mountaineering and ski touring. Above the hut, you’ll visit a flock of Jezersko–Solčava sheep and, if you wish, offer them salt and dry bread by hand. Before returning to the valley, enjoy a traditional shepherd’s snack on the terrace of Češka koča.
