Tea with the Ipavec Family

On the outskirts of the Kozjansko region, an educational and enchanting experience awaits, for you to create your own tea and your unique cup. This experience will connect you with nature, awaken your creativity, and teach you about the region’s rich heritage.

Under the careful guidance of herbalist Milan, you will uncover the secrets of herbs growing on the sunny slopes of the Kozjansko hills. You’ll discover how they have boosted health and enhanced well-being for centuries. Each participant will create a special blend of Ipavec tea – with essential linden blossom and its strong symbolic meaning – and take it home in a beautiful wooden container.

Your journey then leads to potter Marija at the magical Mlin Art Studio, set on a restored homestead with a more than two centuries old watermill – a precious part of the Kozjansko heritage. As Marija shares stories, you’ll experience the life of millers in days gone by and appreciate their significance to the local community. With your hands in clay, you’ll spin the potter’s wheel and craft your own cup. After the workshop, Marija will treat you to homemade delicacies from local producers.

The experience finishes under the mighty Ipavec linden tree, where your will sip the tea from your handmade clay cup. There the stories of the famous Ipavec family connect with the area’s rich natural and cultural heritage, as well as the healing power of herbs and clay.
