Vipava Valley Wine Train

Experience a beautiful five-hour train journey along a historic railway line dating back to the Austro-Hungarian era. On board, you will personally meet a local winemaker and taste the very best the Vipava Valley has to offer. As you travel on the Wine Train, you will be captivated by new views and panoramic scenes of the valley. For much of the journey, the vineyards are bathed in stunning golden afternoon light, and the sunsets are truly unforgettable.

In the town of Ajdovščina, we will make a stop for a guided walk to the old town centre. The next stop is in one of the nearby villages, where a guided walk from the station will take us to a local winemaker. There, you will be welcomed with a tasting of local wines accompanied by homemade food.
