Have you heard of ‘osmice’?

Osmice are farms that sell wine and local produce directly in the traditional way. The name ‘osmica’ comes from the Slovenian word for ‘eight’ (osem) as these sales can last up to eight days a year. Today, these local specialties are a popular opportunity to taste local delicacies and socialize in an authentic farm environment. The Karst osmice, which some farms organise twice a year, offer excellent wines and typical Karst dishes. You can recognize them by the wooden signpost and the ivy sprig, which stays fresh for exactly eight days.
